Every student comes into this land of five rivers with many aspirations and dreams. They have many inhibitions just coming out from their nests with many doubts about themselves and their future. NIT Jalandhar provides an atmosphere much like a home away from home. With its aesthetically designed red brick buildings and tastefully decorated classrooms the students have a life which grooms them to be a responsible and successful person.

The students come from diverse economic, social and geographical backgrounds. They arrive from different parts of the country - from Jammu to the Andamans, from Gujarat to far North East. We have students even from foreign countries including Nepal, Bhutan, Vietnam and Phillipines. So the students get to experience the true spirit of India.

The institute acts as a catalyst to hone the students' skills and talents through a support structure not only academic, but also by providing the students a plethora of co-curricular activities.
